ANNUAL REPORT
Operator United Companies of Mesa County
Location Chambers Pit
'File Number M-1979-075
Anniversary Date May 29, 2006
This pit is mined out and inactive. Revegetetation has not been successful due to
landowners livestock. Weeds are being treated twice a year. In addition the goats and
miniature horses on the property keep all green growlth to a minimum. That's the reason
the revegetation has not been successful.
I was going to ask for release from this bond due to the animals eating everything.
United Companies wants me to hold off on this action as United is in the permitting
process for another grave] operation east of and adjacent to pit M-1979-075. Should this
adjacent property be permitted, United will use the Chambers Pit in this report as a haul
road to transport material from the proposed new pit west, crossing over M-1979-075, to
our existing Rifle pit, which is adjacent to the west side of M-1979-075.
Then, from our existing Rifle pit operation, we can cross the railroad tracks and access
the main highway using our existing access.
The sketch with this report shows the location of M-1979-075 in relation to the proposed
future pit and United Companies existing Rifle Pit.
Sincerely,
/3.~,-r c1J . ~-C~
Brent W.
