BOX 837
® GUNNISON,COLORADO 61230
1303) 641-0951
Mined Land Reclamation Division June 29, 1987
State of Colorado
423 Centennial Eldg
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: ANNUAL RER~RT FqR PER[~7IT #M-81-014 ROZNLAN PIT
1. Less than one~uarter of an acre wes mined during the year. The
mining occured on the north side of the pit. (See attached Map.)
2. No additional acres were reclaimed durirx3 the year.
3. The entire previously mined area has been back sloped, except the
area where we are presently mining.
4. No vegetation rss planted during the past mining year.
5. No fertilizers, organic materials or soil conditioners was used.
6. A re-evaluation of the depth of topsoil on the property was conducted
during the mining year, by the Soil Conservation Service. It was found
that the average depth of topsoil at the site was approximately six inches
(6-inches) instead of the 9 to 18 inches from the orginial permit
application. A copy of this letter is enclosed with this report.
Also, the mining stage plan is sanewhat behind what we orginally expected
due to a drop in business the past few year. A change of dates or mining
time in each of the stages needs to be made. A technical revision could
handle both of these needed changes, and an application for such will be
made to the division within this coming mining year.
7. It is expected that less than one-half acre will be mined in the caning
year, and that this will occur at the north end of Stage 1, which is the
same area as we are presently mining.
8. The effective date of this information is June 29, 1987.
The Annual Fee of $350 is enclosed.
.~~c~-yam
d
George R.
