The type and approximate quantity of fertilizers, organic material, or soil <br />conditioners used and location of use. <br />RESPONSE• <br />No fertilizers, organic material, or soil conditioners were used during the last year <br />at Mesa Gravel Pit. <br />6. An appraisal of the success or reclamation efforts and in the event of failure of any <br />efforts, a short narrative on the suspected or determined cause of such failure. <br />RESPONSE: <br />Reclamation seeding is entering its second full growing season on a portion of the <br />permit area. Observations made this past spring indicate this area is providing a <br />good stand of vegetative cover and is also adequately controlling erosion. It was to <br />early to tell how the area recently seeded will do this year. Remedial actions will <br />be taken this fall by spot seeding if necessary. <br />7. Estimates of the location and number of acres to be affected in The coming year. <br />RESPONSE: <br />Exhibit D-I, Mining Plan, shows the anticipated direction of mining. At the present <br />time, mining has not advanced as far as proposed on Exhibit D-I. This is due to <br />production as mentioned earlier. Our proposed rate for the coming year should <br />reach the 49,000 tons as permitted.
