13.4.12.2 Weekly Inspections • <br />Weekly inspections by or under the direction of the plant RSG <br />shall be conducted of licensed facilities process and storage <br />areas and a report submitted to the Facilities Manager on any <br />items of noncompliance with operating procedures, license <br />requirements, or safety practices, including housekeeping <br />practices, affecting radiological safety. <br />13.4.12.3 :•lonthly Inspections <br />`Sonthly unannounced documented walk-through inspections of all <br />work and storage areas shall be conducted by or under the <br />direction of the RSO to ensure that the radiation safety program <br />is as required. <br />13.4.12.4 Quarterly Inspections <br />Quarterly plant inspection by the plant RSO and audit of the <br />above inspection reports and audit of all monitoring data shall <br />be conducted and a written report submitted to the Facilities <br />Manager and the Internal Audit Committee. The report shall <br />recommend any necessary corrective actions and include an <br />evaluation of the adequacy of the implementation of license <br />requirements. <br />13.4.12.5 Semiannual Audit <br />The Internal Audit Committee shall perform semiannual audits of <br />the radiation safety program. The Executive Vice President <br />shall ensure prompt action on the audit committee <br />recommendations. <br />13.4.12.6 Semiannual Report <br />A semiannual report shall be prepared by the plant RSC• for the <br />Facilities Manager and the Internal Audit Committee evaluating <br />employee exposures, effluent releases and environmental data to <br />determine (1) if there are any upward trends developing in <br />personnel exposures for identifiable categories of workers, of - <br />types of operations or in effluent releases, (2) if e~:posures <br />and effluents might be lowered under the concept of maintaining <br />exposures and effluents as low as reasonably achievable, and (3) <br />if equipment for exposure and effluent control is being properly <br />used and maintained. <br />-22- <br />
