Long,
Division Director
Re: 3rd and 4th Quarter 1991 Subsidence Monitoring Report, File No. C-SZ-056
Dear Mr. Middleton:
The Division has completed its review of the above mentioned report. Please
respond to the following questions prior to submitting the next subsidence
report.
Exhibit 34, Volume IIIA outlines information to be contained in each
subsidence monitoring report. Specifically, a plan view map of surface
topography and Structures as they relate to underground workings (see also
adequacy question 4), pre-mining and present visual inspection data, and
conclusions are not included in this report. Please submit all
information required by Exhibit 34 of your current permit for this and
future subsidence reports.
2. A-2 is improperly referenced on the A-series profile as A-1. Please
correct, if necessary, for future reporting.
3. The subsidence profile, B-series, has seven additional points between B-13
(725 ft.) and B-12 (1,450 ft.). What is the origin of these data points?
4. As per Rule 2.10.3(1)(k) please submit (with future subsidence reports) a
map showing the subsided underground mining area superimposed on a
1:6000 scale map of the existing surface topography (i.e. including
post-mining topography after any surface mining). The underground areas
indicated need not be detailed. Potentially, subsided paneis and areas to
be mined in the following six month period need to be delineated. This
will assist the Division in monitoring surface features such as the
Twentymile Sandstone Cliffs and Fish Creek as they may be affected by
future mining activities.
Thank you for your continued cooperation
Si ncere.Ty
,•~/
./~C~~
`' uCen~ A.
