<br />The waste dump and stockpile areas include: (I) 4.6 acres <br />• which is a raw material holding area; (J) 2.0 acres and (JJ) 5.4 <br />acres which are also raw material holding areas; (0) 15.4 acres <br />opened prior to 1973 for raw material stockpile; (L) 17.0 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1984; (D) 27.0 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1984; (H) 1.7 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump; (MM) 10.5 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1985; (E) 14.9 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1986; (F) 7.2 acres <br />converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1987; (PP) 2.4 acres <br />and (QQ) 3.0 acres opened up for waste rock disposal in 1987; and <br />(AZ) 26.7 acres converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1987; <br />(FF) 23.0 acres converted from mining to waste rock dump in 1990. <br />All total, there are 160.8 acres designated as stockpile and waste <br />• disposal areas which are all considered major disturbance. <br />There were no areas reclaimed for this reporting period. Some <br />contouring was done in areas (L), (MM) and (FF); 370 trees and <br />shrubs were planted as a shelter belt in area (M). The species <br />planted were Ponderosa Pine, Juniper Pine, Pinon Pine, Chokecherry <br />and Wild Plum; they were planted in three rows 1200 feet long. The <br />MLRB released from further reclamation responsibility 81.6 acres. <br />Another 39.4 acres were given a partial release. <br />The experimental plot is experiencing its first years growth <br />in area (G). A more complete report will be made in 1992. All <br />other areas are experiencing excellent growth with grazing and <br />haying being done in areas (W), (X), (M) and (N). <br />• <br />
