This mine currently produces two materials,
each mined oy a different operator. We will deal with each material
being mined as it pertains to the question asked in the Annual
Report requirements.
The clay mine overburden piles, 2.63 acres ±, (brown)
contain sand and gravel that will be removed as sand and gravel
mining progresses in the stages where they lay. Please refer to
the annual report map attached for the areas discussed in this text.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
questions as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41
(1) Clay - No new area was disturbed this year in Stage I. We
continued to mine deeper on lands previously disturbed (orange).
Approximately 4.43 acres is disturbed by the clay operation in
Stage I and 11.04 acres in the processing area (Stage 0,
colored gray) .
Gravel - Gravel mining continued in Stage I & II ahead of the
clay operation. This was done in accordance with the approved
plan; oy doing this the sand and gravel only has to be handled
once. The current gravel operation has 9.29 acres ± in
Stages I 6 II disturbed (tan) . The gravel operator has
continued to use the material storage area, 1.27 acres ±
along the west side (blue).
