• IV. Fish Creek AVF
No survey monument data was generated during the period with the exception of the
baseline coordinates for the 5000 series established in December. Hydrologic data
collection occurred as required and results are provided in this report. With the
submittal of this information, the Fish Creek AVF Hydrologic Monitoring program is
concluded as undermining of the area occurred in September 1993 and subsequent
monitoring has continued for one year since that time.
Hydrologic monitoring data for the period is presented as Tables ]through 60. No new
impacts were evident with regard to water levels or flow rates throughout the reporting
period. Water levels in wells GWB-1 and GWB-2R fluctuated slightly during the period
and to date remain slightly lower than pre-mining elevations. Total recoverable selenium
values for sites GWA-1, GWA-2, andGWA-6 are noted to be higher during the reporting
period. Elevated dissolved and total recoverable selenium values are noted for site
GWA-9.
As noted in the First Half 1994 Subsidence Report, three Fish Creek AVF hydrology
monitoring sites (GWA-b, GWAP-7, and GWB-2R) lie in areas which have been
subsided by Twentymile's mining operation. Site GWB-2R replaced well GWB-2 which
was destroyed in the subsidence process.
• No vegetation data was generated during the period as this aspect of the study was
completed. Results are summarized in the First Half 1994 Subsidence Report.
V. Conclusions
Subsidence monuments revealed no unusual developments throughout the reporting
period. Subsidence magnitudes were within the ranges previously documented for [he
area.
Structures remained essentially unaffected during the period. Minor impacts to the road
were evident but the road remained in good condition both during and after [he
subsidence process. No impacts whatsoever were evident to the power line.
No material damage was evidenced during the reporting period.
•
