Cattany <br /> Division Director <br /> Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Edna Mine, Permit C-81-001 <br />2001 Annual Hydrology Report, <br />Review Checklist dated June 17, 2002 <br />In item G of the above-referenced Review Checklist I made the finding that the mine was <br />in compliance with the Basic Standards for Ground Water, should a point of compliance <br />be established at either downstream alluvial monitoring well TR-3 or TR-4. <br />This finding was made by comparing water quality data reported for TR-3 and TR-4 with <br />the ambient quality from those wells, in accordance with CWQCC Regulation <br />41.5(C)(6)(b)(i). The ambient quality was estimated by applying CWQCC Regulation <br />41.5(C)(~(b)(ii) which requires use of water quality data subsequent to January 31, 1994 <br />for estimating existing ambient quality where there have been no new or increased <br />sources of ground water contamination initiated after that date. <br />Clifice of Office of Colorado <br />Mined Land Rxlamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey <br />
