Digital Submission of 1997 Annual Reclamation Report <br /> <br /> Seneca Coal Company (SCCI, in cooperation with the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br /> Geology, submits the Yoast 1997 Annual Reclamation Report with maps on CD-FOM. The maps <br /> are AutoCAD Version 1 4 drawings and can be cvetlaid with 1996 submi teals by inseru nq at <br /> point 0, 0. Also, two updated exi sting topography contour maps a re included on the CD-ROM. <br />1997 Disturbance Area <br />The 1957 Annual Reclamation Report, drawi nq Y97 TSR EI-0, shows the limits of disturbance as of <br />December 31, 1997. The disturbance line as shown on this drawi nq depicts all des wrbance <br />assccia[ed with the mining operation including haul road and pond construction, [cpso.l <br />removal and sic cage, open pits, spoil piles, etc. The area des curbed during 1997 totals <br />64.5 acres. <br />Dackfilling and Grading <br />During 1997, SCC graded the portion of the drag Li ne deadhead route under the powerlines, <br />'west of Haul Foaa A. In this area, %4.9 acres of disturbance were graded, topsoiled, and <br />reveyetated. The reclaimed drainage channel was also constructed and completed. This area <br />• is shown on drawings Y97REPL and Y97SEE D. Initial reclamation operations (rough grading) <br />have begun in the pit areas and the final graded areas will be reported in [he 1998 Annuai <br />Feclamau on Fepo rt. <br />Miscellaneous ronstruco on Activities <br />SCC complet ee ccns[ructicn of sedimen tattoo pond 011 in October.
