M-77-098
Sievers Ranch Pit - Garfield County
FBDI3RAL TA% ID#
The anniversary date of this permit is June 30, 1991.
Western-Mobile, Inc., the lease holder, continued to operate the
pit this year. Mining continued as approved in the original
application. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation
and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. Please refer to
the Annual Report map for the location of areas discussed in this
report.
This information will comply with Section 2.4.1 of the Rules
and Regulations.
2.4.1
(1) The final 0.73 acres ± along the east side of Stage I was
removed this year (brown). Mining continued in Stage I
lowering the floor of that stage an additional 2 to 5 feet in
the area colored tan. The fresh water pond remains in Stage
I (blue) where it was relocated last year. Stage P is still
being utilized as an equipment storage area and stockpile
area.
Topsoil was temporally stockpiled on Stage IV until it is
needed for re-soiling Stage I (gray). Western-Mobile has
started to relocate this pile of material because it's
proximity to the mine face places it in an area where it may
fall into the pit. It's new location is along the access
road in Stages i and IV (aqua). To date Western-Mobile has
disturbed 24.91 acres ± which is well within the 29.68 acres
± covered by the bond. Please refer to the 1991 Annual
Report Map attached. ~p~
r l
~~~~
