Long
Division Dnectnr
RE: Canyon Sand and gravel, Permit No. M-1988-057, Annual Report of October 13, 2000
Dear Mr. Scott:
In recently reviewing your annual report of October 13, 2000, it appears that you may be
attempting to use the annual report to change your permit to include new area and swap out an
old area of equal size. The attached memo outlines the guidelines by which this process may
occur.
An amendment application to add in the proposed new area, and a release request to remove the
portion of the permitted area, must be submitted. All exhibits applicable to an amendment must
be submitted with the application and all notices required for an amendment must be made. The
amendment fee (5719) will not be charged unless an objection to the application is received.
Initially, the fee for a technical revision ($188) must be submitted with the application. If an
objection to the application is received, the remainder of the amendment fee must be submitted.
An application form for a permit amendment is enclosed.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology,
Durango Field Office, 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, Colorado 81301, telephone no.
970-247-5062.
Sincerely,
%~ l/`~
Steve S.
