Dept of Natural Resources
The anniversary date of this permit is June 30, 1984. Reduced
demand for material in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale area last
year was such that less area was mined than was expected. Mining
continued on level 1 of Stage I.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions
as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41 (1) We continued to mine in Stage I as expected. Mining
continued on the 1.80 acres +/- disturbed in 1982-1983. As
outlined in the original application, each stage will
be mined on two levels. The first level will be completely
mined before mining commences on the second level.
(2) The plan calls for reclamation to begin as each stage
is completed. Mining has continued in Stage I; therefore,
no reclamation was required this year.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) Not applicable.
(5) Not applicable.
(6) Not applicable.
(7) Mining will continue in Stage I. if the upper level
is completed this year, mining will start on the lower
level next year.
