<br />Revegetated Land Fertilizer Rates and Pasture Yields <br />Fertilizer was applied once or twice a year. The 5rst application was during the spring and [he <br />second (if needed) was after the tirst cutting. Application rates varied from none to 500#/acre <br />(Exhibit 99.8). First cut yields varied from 463 Ib/acre to x,100 Ib/acre (Exhibit 99.1 I ). <br />depending on the amount of fertilizer used and whether or not the land was in igated. <br />Weed and Pest Control Activities <br />Weed control was carried out in the summer and fall months of 1999. Target species included <br />Russian Knapweed, Canada Thistle, Sun Flower, White Top, Purple Loosestrife and Field <br />Bindweed. Spot spraying was done at NHl &NH2, see Exhibit 99.5. The treated sites were <br />small and random and are too small to accurately plot on a map. There was no Pest Control <br />measures implemented in 1999 because [here was no need at this time. <br />Acres in Long-Term Mining or Reclamation Facilities <br />As shown in Exhibit 99.12, cunently 36.32 acres are held in long-term mining or reclamation <br />facilities. <br />• Acres in Active Mining Areas <br />As Exhibit 99.12 indicates, the 1999 active mine area disturbance was 71.31 acres. <br />Acres Seeded/Planted for the Last 10 Years or more <br />The total number of acres seeded or planted and not released from bond within the NH I and NH2 <br />permit areas is 381.13. <br />• ld:\data\wpdata\rer zepo\59 recrepo.docl <br />
