MOUNTAIN COAL COMPANY RECLAMATION PHOTOGRAPH PROJECT 2005 Proiect Description During the 2004 and 2005 field seasons, digital photographs were taken and photo-points were established in several areas where Mountain Coal Company has conducted coal exploration and development activities since 1996. This report follows a similaz one from 2004, making a comparison of reclamation on the various sites possible. In 2005, photographs were taken on 137 road locations and drill sites. Field work was accomplished on May 21 and 28, June 6, 25, 30, July 1, September 5, 12 and December 6-7, 2005. The project is divided into 5 separate sections. (See Figure I: MCC RECLAMATION PHOTOGRAPH PROJECT 2004) 1. The Reclamation Process shows typical methods for accomplishing reclamation. ' 2. Drill Sites And Roads Reclaimed 1996-2004. This section consists of azeas where reclamation was completed between 1996 and 2004. No formal reclamation was accomplished in 2005. Drill sites accessed by the following roads are included: Dry Fork of Minnesota Creek. Road, Upper Deep Creek and Deep Creek Mesa Roads, Long Draw Saddle Road, Upper Sylvester Road, Long Draw Road, West Flatiron Road, Wesi Point Road, RAV 1 Spur, West Bench Road, East Bench Road, Apache Rocks-Jumbo Mountain Road, and Lone Pine Road. (See Figure lA -Dry Fork Area, Figure 1 B - i Thermal Event Area; and Figure 1 C -Lone Pine Area) 3. Sites Constructed Prior To 2005 Not Fully Reclaimed. This section of the report shows areas which have not yet been reclaimed, although some of the sites have undergone interim reclamation. Most of these sites aze located along the West Flatiron Road and on West Flatiron itself; however, two sites aze situated on the Upper Sylvester and Long Draw Roads. (See Figure lA -Dry Fork Area) 4. Sites Planned For Construction In 2005. These aze sites and roads which were planned for construction this field season, and in fact, some of the locations were built. Photographs were taken and photo-points established during the permitting process; therefore, the areas shown are in apre-construction condition. These locations aze accessed by the Dry Fork of Minnesota Creek Road, Apache Rocks-Jumbo Mountain Road, West Flatiron Road, Sylvester Gulch Road and Trail, Box Canyon and Box Canyon West Roads.
