The West Elk <br />Mine is an underground coal mine and the disturbed area covers the life-of--mine facilities area and <br />several remote areas. During the year of 2005 MCC achieved Phase I bond release on the Thermal <br />Event Area (SL-1, MR-311) and the Lone Pine Gulch Ventilation Facilities Areas (SL-2, MR-312), <br />for a total of approximately 17.5 acres. <br />During the calendar yeaz of 2005, MCC completed no permanent reclamation. All reclamation <br />activities were confined to those of interim reclamation. Attached is a report including photographs, <br />text, and maps showing the locations of permanently reclaimed areas in the Dry Fork, Thermal <br />Event and Lone Pine areas. In compliance with the revised Rule 2.04.13(1)(e) a copy of the seed <br />tags and letters of certification for seed mixes utilized in interim reclamation activities are attached. <br />Please call me if you have any questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />Henry .
