No
topsoil was saved, what little of it there was, and this is in accordance with the
approved plan for the quarry.
Rule 2.41(2): Locations and number of acres reclaimed for that year.
No land on this operation has yet been fully reclaimed. In the previous section
mention was made of 2.7 acres being completed. The terraces on this area have been
completed, but have not had the waste fines placed on the step treads.
Rule 2.41(3): The location and number of acres in the various stages of reclamation
(backfilled, graded, topsoil replaced, revegetated).
2.7 acres have been brought toward a reclaimed state. The heavy work of producing
the 20' wide terraces has been completed. These need fines places on the treads and
then seeded.
Rule 2.41(4): The species of vegetation planted, the locations and approximate dates
of planting.
No vegetation has been planted. None is planned to be planted for perhaps another year.
Becuase of the terrace pattern there is little danger erosion will cause any damages.
Rule 2.41(5): The type and approximate quantity of fertilizers, organic material, or
soil conditioners used and location of use.
None of these materials or treatments have been used because no revegetation has
occurred yet.
Rule 2.41(6): An appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts, and in the event of
failure of any efforts, a short narrative on the suspected or determined cause of
such failure.
It appears the physical success of using terraces has been good. No other reclamation
work has been done to assess.
Rule 2.41(7): Estimates of the location and number o£ acres to be affected in the
coming year.
The plan called for 20 acres to be mined. Of that amount 2.7 acres are essentially
finished. This leaves 17.3 acres to be mined out. This area will be mined in part this
next year. Including the processing area, 22.1 acres will be affected in this next year.
