. Figure 2. <br />As mentioned in the Introduction, Technical Revision TROT-32 was approved in June 2001. TR 01-32 <br />allows for cessation of many DMG hydrologic monitoring requirements while the mine is in TC. BTU EC <br />will continue to be responsible for adhering to [he monitoring requirements of its CDPS pemvt. Thus, this <br />AHR only addresses the data required under the TC monitoring plan: <br />• Bedrock well TR-7A, <br />• Alluvial well AVF-5, <br />• Surface water sites (Williams fork) WF-1, WR2, <br />• CDPS (permit CO-0034142) sites: <br />0 1) Mine discharge No. 5 Mine sump jCDPS Outfa11003, a.k.a. site 5D]; <br />0 2) Mine discharge 7 North Angle Well Bore [CDPS Outfal1024, a.k.a. site 9P3], and <br />0 3) Spring - No. 1 strip pit [CDPS Outfall 022, a.k.a. site 1SP]. <br />Table 1 presents a summary of hydrologic monitoring requirements for these sites under TC (modified from <br />TROI-32, Appendix D of the TC monitoring plan). Field parameters are outlined in Table 2. Water quality <br />monitoring includes field pazameters (Table 2), surface water quality parameters (Table 3), and CDPS <br />parameters (Table 4). <br />• 3.1 Groundwater Monitoring <br />3.1.1 Bedrock Wells <br />Three sandstone aquifers are found beneath the subject site. In ascending order, they are: Trout Creek <br />Sandstone, Middle Sandstone, and Twentymile Sandstone. The Eagle No. 5 and Eagle No. 6 Mines aze <br />located between the Trout Creek Sandstone and the Middle Sandstone. <br />Middle Sandstone: Under TC, Middle Sandstone well TR-7A is measured for water level and Feld <br />parameters on an annual basis, with no water quality analyses required. Field parameter data for TR-7A, <br />suggests no adverse impact or trend. 2004 field pazametets are provided on Table 5. A summary of POR <br />water quality data is provided on Table 6. POR water levels and conductivity readings aze presented in <br />Figures 3 and 4, respectively. Historically, well TR-7A has indicated a slight reduction in concentrations of <br />major ions over dme. <br />3.1.2 Mine Water Discharge <br />Following approval of the TC Monitoring Plan, meter readings were no longer recorded for the 7 North <br />• Angle site (CDPS Outfall 024, a.k.a. site 9P3). While mining is in TC, the mine is being flooded and pumps <br />were mn only periodically to maintain appropriate mine water levels.
