' Orthophosphate/Nitrite
Historically, orthophosphate (Figure 33) and nitrite (Figure 34) values obtained over the period of record have been
' low with most being below detection limits (Appendix B). However, TR-I.5 orthophosphate and nitrite concentrations began
rising in 1998 and peaked in May 1999. Subsequent samples collected from TR-I.S show a decrease in both orthophosphate
' and nitrite. Concentrations in TR-I.5 remain above historical values. The reason for these results is not readily identifiable;
however, one contributing factor may be TR-I.5's proximity to active agricultural land.
' Chloride/Potassium
' Chloride and Potassium (Figure 35) were added to the parameters list in 1994. While any trend analyses for these
parameters is considered speculative some observations can be made. Fluctuations in the concentrations of these parameters
for each location are consistent with the Fluctuations observed in other parameters for each given location.
1

1
1

1

1

43
