The
majority of the berm is within one-half foot of final elevation.
I
I
I
i
I
i
REMARKS:

Mr. Fred Ladd arrived at the site with the filter fabric this afternoon. One thin
layer of sand and gravel was placed over the unstable area as a leveling course.
The fabric was rolled across the bench area, approximately 100 eet by 16 feet.
One to one and one half feet of sand and gravel fill material was placed over the
fabric. The sand and gravel layer was static-rolled with the shee sfoot compactor,
and as low to moderate deflection was observed, the vibratory co pactor was then
used. Mr. Ladd called for additional thin lifts of fill material, which were also
rolled with the vibratory compactor. Subsequent lifts of fill aterial did not
indicate deflection under compactor travel.
Tow nuclear-density tests were performed in the area indicated hat the minimum
compaction requirements were met.
All tests performed today in other areas today also indicated hat the minimum
compaction requirements were met. ~
DAILY DIARY ~
/
^~
r
' GEOTECHNICAL, MATERIALS i
1 ~','
I ~~
1
\
/
A
'VL a ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS
J
