Mr. David Berry
October 4, ]988
Page 2
Well 026-79-6 -
Refer to comments pertaining to well 026-79-4
CYVCC RESPONSE:

The 1987 sampling program was discussed with the Division, and approval
obtained for sampling bedrock wells in December. It was the intent for the
December samples to satisfy the year's monitoring requirements. CYCC
understood that two samples would be collected during 1988 to satisfy the J~'
current water year's monitoring requirements. As previously agreed upon,
CYCC will obtain two full suite samples from the bedrock wells during 1988.
In reference to carbonates, it is not reported when the pH is below the
carbonate end point (8.3p11) for the alkalinity titration. The reason being
that all carbonate values are zero at or below this end point.
MLRD CONCERN:
Spoil Wells
Well 026-SP-1 -
Third quarter 1987 field parameters are completely missing. Carbonate
was not analyzed with any of the full suite samples. ~k
Well 026-SP-2 -
Third quarter field parameters are missing. Carbonate was not analyzed
in any samples. d'-
Well 026-SP-3 -
Last quarter 1986 and third quarter 1987 field parameters are missing.
Carbonate was not analyzed with the full suite analyses. 01~
CYVCC RESPONSE:
The data has been entered into the computer data base and the updated
reports for the wells are attached. As explained above, carbonate is not ~~
reported if the pH is 8.3 or less.
In reference to Well 026-SP-3, the well was dry therefore. no sample was ~K„
obtained for either field or full suite analyses.
