Analytical results for major cations, anions and
dissolved metals have been received and are attached in Appendix 5. These results
indicate that water in the B Sand is of good quality and has a chemistry typical of the
Dawson aquifer. All of the samples indicate the groundwater chemistry is dominated
by calcium cations. The dominant anions aze bicarbonate (M-1 and M-6), carbonate
(M-4), and sulfate (M-3). M-2 was nearly dry at the time of sample collection and M-5
did not produce enough sample for laboratory analysis. Trace metals detected thus far
in the wells include:
• Barium (M-1, M-3, M-4, and M-6);
• Cobalt (M-1, M-3, M-4, and M-6);
• Chromium (M-3 and M-4);
• Copper(M-1, M-3, M-4, and M-6);
• Nickel (M-1, M-3, M-4, and M-6);
• Lead (M-1, M-3, and M-6);
• Antimony (M-I);
• Selenium (M-1);
• Vanadium (M-3, M-4, and M-6); and
• Zinc (M-1, M-3, M-4, and M-6).
Natural variations in each of the analytes will be established as additional background
samples are collected.
VOOR 191/:1915NaliaPeem~11000 dac Sedalia Recycling Center and Depository
