f ~ <br />(6) Reclamation of this affected land has been planned and <br />implemented to provide the amenities for future land <br />use in the form of a site development. The reclamation <br />plan relates directly to the mining operation and will <br />be achieved coincidentally with the mining operation. <br />A substantial portion o£ the terrain to be reshaped for <br />suitable future building sites is being accomplished by <br />the extraction of commercial aggregates. Althou~3h, this <br />has been the concept of reclamation from incepti~~n, the <br />assurance of the ultimate accomplishment of the :reclama- <br />tion plan has been enhanced by the implementation of a <br />change in zoning to a P.U.D. This Planned Unit ]~evelop- <br />ment was established in compliance with OrdinancE: No. <br />769 of the City of Golden, which stipulates that the <br />objectives of the P.U.D, be accomplished in compliance <br />with Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The C:Lty of <br />Golden Ordinance for the P.U.D. is number 777. <br />This operation has been regularly inspected by ttie Colo- <br />rado Department of Mine and Colorado Department of Health. <br />One lost time accident occured during the year, which re- <br />sulted in some changes in procedures that were suggested <br />by MESA and the Colorado Department of Mines, boi:h of <br />which thouroughly investigated the accident. One' citation <br />for excessive fugitive dust was issued by the Colorado <br />Department of Health. This occured as a result of a <br />breakdown in dust control equipment at a particular point <br />on one piece of processing equipment. The dust control <br />equipment at this point was replaced. Extensive revamping <br />of dust control equipment and installation of adclitional <br />dust suppressive facilities have been made throughout the <br />processing equipment, which has enhanced the control of <br />fugitive dust. This operation has not received r~or has <br />any knowledge of any other complaints from any source <br />regarding mining procedures or activities at this; location. <br />Paragraph 2.42 <br />Attached to this annual report is a check in the amount <br />of $350.00 payable to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for the annual fee. <br />HOLLOWAY COMPANIES <br />SPECIFICATION AGGREGIATES, INC. <br />v <br />Dou as Case <br /> <br />
