No.: Primary Refuse Disposal Area <br />Inspection Period: SeseRd-Qe~er 2001 <br />Inspection Date: 22-Se -01 <br />-~,~~ Q~~ Zov ~ <br />General Description or Reference to Site Plan: <br />Raton Creek Mine is in final reclamation. All required structures have been removed, <br />the area brought to final grade, mulched and seeded. Areas of lesser vegetation <br />density were inter-seeded in 2000. <br />Activity During inspection: <br />Area was inactive thoughout the quarter. <br />Ground cover was dry. Good growth of vetch and earlier season grasses interspersed <br />with annual weeds was noted. <br />Drainage: (Discussion of springs. seeps, overland and channel flow, underdrain construction and/ <br />or discharge, integrity of 100-year 24-hour drainage structures, and evidence of positive drainage). <br />No springs or seeps were observed on the refuse side slopes. Positive drainage is established on <br />all areas. Vegetation has been established on reclaimed areas with some minor rilling on more <br />sparsely vegetated areas. Drainage and diversion structures were intact with some sediment <br />accumulation noted on the west facing diversion ditch above and to the south of the water tank. <br />Underdrain construction has been completed. <br />\ . <br />ObserylatiCn of Fill Construction: (Description of material, compaction, lift thicknesses, slopes, <br />',end coi{3trection methods). <br />:r <br />St~ucture•has been completed to final grade.
