i` ~
An additional 80 acres of timber were cleared along the southwest boundary of
the tailing basin in anticipation of tailing deposition in the next two to
three years.
In 1988, 180 acres of timber will also be cleared to accommod~jte tailing
deposition. Timber cleared will require no revegetation treatment as the
slope is minimal and disturbance to the grasses, fortis, and shrubs will be
slight.
Tailing deposition and water acreage totaling 670 acres at the end of 1987 did
not exceed the 715 acres which were estimated. This was due to the reduced
production of the mine and mill in 1986 and 1987.
In general, due to reduced production goals and no major outdoor construction
projects, the disturbances requiring treatment are few. This should be the
case for the short term.
Enclosed is the annual fee of E275.00 and map as required by Rule 2.42.
CLJ/sp
Attachments
Sincerely,
~~Q~ ~~~
Charles L.
