Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology Department of Natural Resources 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Denver, CO 80203 RE: Annual Permit Report ~/ M-1981-207 Blue Pit RECEIVED MAR 2 2 2006 "/~~~IYIS10n ~1 Minerals and Geology Mining continued this past year along the north boundary between stations 13+00 and 15+00 at an elevation of 6260. Part of the area between stations 12+00 and 14+00 has been mined down to an elevation of 6240. Stripping continued on the northern side between stations 13+00 and 16+00, the 40,000 cubic yazds of topsoil at this location was taken and placed between stations 0+00 and 00+3. This pile will be seeded to the given specifications. We stripped 211,000 cubic yards of overburden from stations 10+00 to 15+00, and then placed on the northern boundary toe between stations 6+00 and ] 0+00, the dirt was placed in four-foot (4') lifts up the slope. In addition we stripped an area 342'by 225' between stations 23+00 and 22+00 this area is for stockpile use only. The 5750 cubic yards of topsoil was pushed to the west at station 22+00 and the 8625 cubic yard of overburden was pushed along the north boundary. The pit has also taken in 44,000 cubic yards of inert material that was place on the southeast line at station 4+00 and pushed towards the north boundary. This material was placed in two-foot (2') lifts as to keep the slope stabilized to accept finish sloping. We have followed the TR-003 technical review and have inspected each load coming in as well as their placement. No new reclamation has been done. "Financial Warranty" is in place.
