• 1995 ANNUAL MINE INFLOW REPORT
Introduction
In compliance with Stipulation No.29, Permit No. C-81-038, the
Operator submits the following Annual Mine Inflow Report for the
period of July 1, 1994 through June 30, 1995.
Mininq Locations and Projections
Panel Z was retreated back to crosscut 33 by July 1, 1994. By
October 1994 Panel Z was retreated back to crosscut 11 where
permanent seals were constructed. The 1st East Mains were
completed including the 3 crosscuts to the north at the end of the
mains. Panel X was developed from crosscut 3 to crosscut 17.
Panel ZZ was developed 8 crosscuts to near the limit of the west
thick coal pod. Panel ZZ-1 North was developed to the end of the
panel by the end of June 1995.
• Mining projections for the period of July, 1995 through June 1996
include the retreat of Panels ZZ-1 North and Panel ZZ, advance of
the Panel X and the development and partial of retreat "right"
panels off of Panel X.
Mine Inflow
The mine inflow study at the West Mine was completed during July,
1995. Retreat mining of Panel ZZ-1 North was underway during this
time. Roof seeps were encountered in the development of Panel ZZ
at its end. These flows were minor and similar to previous flows
in that they were of short duration. No measurable inflows were
noted during the mine inflow inspection.
The inflows at the West Mine continue to be minimal events
consisting of seepage from both the roof and floor sources. Seeps
continue to exhibit the characteristic pattern expected when mine
• workings intercept perched aquifers; flows dissipate and
essentially cease from one to four weeks after interception by mine
