Mine No. 3, Colorado Yampa Coal Comoany
Enclosed please find the above-referenced AHR for water-year 1991.
Please note that the discussion of results and trends was prepared
for Cyprus by Applied Hydrology Associates, inc. of Denver
Colorado. This review and discussion has indicated no major
impacts or concerns associated with Mine 3 at this time. Please
also note that, as discussed with the Division in October 1991,
only three full suite samples were collected at Site 900 due to the
lack of flow during August, September, and October. This lack of
a fourth full-suite analysis arose due to a lack of flow during our
normal collection period for the fourth full-suite sample on stream
sites, and could not be anticipated at the time. The 1992 sampling
schedule has subsequently been modified to avoid similar situations
in the future.
Should you have any questions or comments, please contact me at
your convenience.
Sincerely,
Marcus Mids~~
Environmental Specialist
MAM\mm\pe\dg
Enclosures
1
