L~
SPOIL SPRING MONITORING
' A spoil spring monitoring program was initiated in 1986 and has
been conducted annually. According to the approved plan, the
annual mine wide survey is conducted during May and springs are
' measured for flow and field parameters. If a spring is discharging
35 gallons per minute or greater then it will be monitored
throughout the remainder of the year in accordance with the
' monitoring plan. No spoil springs were found in 1991 which
produced flow sufficient to measure and/or sample.
Water Quality
Since 1986 the maximum total spoil spring discharge was 0.040 cfs.
No measurable spoil spring flow was detected in 1991. Due to the
low to nonexistent flows, the spoil springs are not significant to
the hydrologic regime.

L~

' - 7 -
