The <br />2001 level of 65.6 percent is significantly below average presumably in response to the dry <br />conditions. <br />Herbaceous Production <br />• Calculation of 90 percent of the cover perforrnance standard appropriate for 2001 sampling is as <br />follows: 90°/d of the Herbaceous Production Standard = 0.90[0.83(519.3) + 0.17(710.2)] = 550.9 <br />oven-dry Ib/ac. As can be seen in Figure 2, all reclaimed areas sampled equaled or exceeded <br />90 percent of the herbaceous production standard, although the data are not corrected for <br />"allowable' production (i.e. subtracting production from annual/biennial species that exceed 10 <br />percent of total production). It is likely that only the very young 1999 reclamation would not meet <br />the standard using allowable production only. <br />15 <br />
