As conveyed to the
Division, conditions have changed at CEC in terms of marF;et, necessitating an
acceleration of the mining progression, which in turn has impacted the available
window for the installation and baseline survey of the Higtlway 13 subsidence
monuments. Based upon our discussion, CEC has installed the three subsidence
monuments and conducted the initial survey shots, with a second set of shots to
be completed prior to the undermining of the points during entry development.
Entry development is scheduled to begin in approximately ;i-10 days, with initial
undermining of the monuments occurring shortly thereafter. Our understanding
of the Division viewpoint on the timing (with initial start-up originally projected for
late this week) was that this would be acceptable, especially in light of the fact that
the baseline shots will be completed prior to the initial start-up of entry
development in that area.
We greatly appreciated your taking time out of your schedule to meet with us on
this and the other matters discussed 21 January. Should you have any questions
or comments, please contact either myself or Joe Shoemaker at your convenience.
Sincerely,
~i~~~l~t~~~~~~Zl!
Marcus A.
