MINREC, INC. <br />NORTH THOMPSON CREEK MINES <br />2.04.13 2002 Annual Reclamation Report <br />(a) Permittee: <br />Minrec, Inc. <br />2768 Compass Drive, Suite 101 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81506 <br />Permit No. C-81-025 <br />(b) No land was disturbed during 2002. <br />(c) The flume bases were removed during 2002. <br />(d) No land was topsoiled during 2002. <br />(e) No land was seeded or cultivated during 2002. The need for seeding the area <br />surrounding the flume bases will be evaluated during the spring of 2003. Weed control <br />was performed in accordance with the permit application page 4-66. <br />(f) The disturbed areas associated with the North Thompson Creek Mines were reclaimed <br />during 1986 and 1987. In the fall of 1986 the refuse pile was seeded and mulched. <br />In the fall of 1987 the remainder of the mine site was seeded and mulched and the unit <br />train loadout was seeded. Following is a table which shows the location, number of <br />acres and date of planting for all previously revegetated areas. All seeding was done <br />in the fall of the year. <br />Location Acres Year Seeded <br />Refuse Pile & Flumes 8.2 1986 <br />Mine Sites 31.2 1987 <br />Reclaimed Ponds 2.3 1994 <br />Loadout 1.8 1987 <br />Total 43.5 <br />The permanent water treatment facility which includes a portion of the No. 1 Mine <br />portal, the long pond, treatment ponds T-1 & T-2, and the light use road, pond <br />cleanings disposal area and pipeline corridors were re-disturbed and therefore are no <br />longer considered reclaimed (3.5 acres). The 1.3 acre refuse pile pond is considered <br />permanent. Thus the reclaimed area is reduced by 4.8 (3.5+1.3) acres. <br />Reclaimed area 43.5 - 4.8 = 38.7 Acres <br />-1- <br />
