GROUNDWATER MONITORING
'_~ Annual water samples were collected at monitoring stations AA1
and AA3 using a hand bailer. In the field, a Yellow Springs
Instrument (YSI) Model #33 was used to measure water temperature,
I conductivity, and salinity. The pH levels were taken using a Cole
Palmer Model #5941-00 pH meter. All other parameters were
determined by collecting samples in precharged bottles and
submitting them to ACZ Laboratories, Inc. in Steamboat Springs,
Colorado, for analysis. The results of groundwater data collected
during 1994 are presented below. Graphs of the pertinent water
quality parameters are also shown, along with the quarterly field
suites for the two wells.
HYDROLOGIC MONITORING PARAMETERS - TABLE 1
WELL FREQUENCY PARAMETERS UNITS
AA1 Annual Water Level ft.
-
AA3 Annual Alkalinity as CaC03 mg/1
~
Bicarbonate as CaC03 mg/1
Boron, dissolved mg/1
1 Calcium, dissolved mg/1
Carbonate as CaC03 mg/1
-
Chloride mg/1
~
Conductivity @25 C mg/1
Fluoride mg/1
Hardness as CaC03 mg/1
Magnesium, dissolved mg/1
Nitrogen, ammonia mg/1
Nitrate as N, dissolved mg/1
Nitrate/Nitrite as N mg/1
Nitrite as N, dissolved mg/1
Potassium, dissolved mg/1
' pH (lab) units
Phosphorus, ortho dissolved mg/1
SAR in water
'
Sodium, dissolved mg/1
Sulfate
Cations (sum) mg/1
mg/1
Anions (sum)
r ~
2
