The Half Moon Pit was
worked and is active. We disturbed an estimated ~ acre
of road aggregate for gravel and asphalt in 1989. Our
plans for next year (1990) will be basically the same
as 1989. We have plenty of fill and topsoil including
fertilizer on hand for reclamation purposes.
The Lake County Gravel pit is now the location of our hot
plant. This is the area that we use to make asphalt for
our paving program. Our plans for next year (1990) will
basically be the same as 1989. We have done some reclamation
on this pit by dozing off cut banks and steep slopes to
avoid undue erosion and we also have plenty of fill on
hand for this purpose.
We hope that this letter answers any questions you might
have on these two pits.
