Permit
No. M-83-033, Annual Report
FEDERAL TAB IDO 86-0317799
Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this
permit is June 23. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary
Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The
Financial Warranty for this operation is $75,000, the permitted
area is 125.88 ac. ± and the pit is divided into 7 Reclamation
Phases. A sign that conforms with rule 6.7 Signs and Markers is at the
entrance to the quarry on the scale house. Please refer to the
Annual Report Map for the location of areas discussed in this
report. This is a quarry operation, as a result we remove large
amounts of material without disturbing large areas of land.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
requirements as outlined in Rule 1. 15 of the Rules and Regulations,
and the annual notice letter.
( 1) Mining continued on the area previously stripped in Phase I
(green) . Total disturbance to date in Stage I is 29.39 acres
±. We mined deeper along the face this year lowering benches
but creating little or no floor area. The current face area
remains unchanged from last year and covers approximately 6.64
acres ± (tan) . The floor of the mine is on three levels; the
first is the level near the scale; the second is approximately
60 feet higher and the third is near the face and is another
20 feet above the second. The scale house level is the final
level of the mine floor. The other two benches will be low-
ered as mining progresses into the property. The upper two
benches were left to accommodate the processing equipment so
the mine would work more efficiently. We have also begun to
daylight thru the drainage where backfilling was taking place.
(2) No reclamation was required this year. Minor amounts of
backfill continue to be placed in the valley on the eastern
