~i
Anthony J. Waldron November S, 1995
Re: 1995 Annual Subsidence Report
The November visual inspection was performed during the period
from October 27 to November 3, 1995 in conjunction with spring
and surface water monitoring. The modern landslide areas in Coal
Gulch and Hawksnest Creek, as well as the ridge line in Sections
3 and 10 above the 2nd North pillar sections received particular
attention during the spring monitoring on October 27. The old
drill road along the ridge was traveled by ATV from the junction
with the Coal Gulch Trail in Section 3 to the high point between
Sanborn Creek and the unnamed drainage in the center of Section
9.
The landslide feature in the unnamed drainage and the southern
permit area above the Mains in lower cover from Sanborn Creek to
"C" Gulch were inspected during monitoring on November 2. The
remainder of the southern permit area above the Mains in lower
cover from "C" Gulch to Bardine Canyon were inspected during
monitoring on November 3. Even though the view from the center
of Section 9 is spectacular, no visible indication of recent mass
movement was apparent and no new mass movement features were
noted during the inspections.
Please call if there are any questions.
Sincerely,
Thomas C.
