1 <br />' Honeywood Coal Company <br />1994 Annual Hydrologic Report <br />Page 2 <br />upper and lower Bramiers Draw respectively. No flow was recorded <br />' at these points during the year. <br />Naturita Creek is the receiving stream for the drainages from the <br />central and eastern portion of the permit area. This creek <br />typically flows year round. Three monitoring points are located <br />along Naturita Creek. Two points are upstream N-1 and N-lA and one <br />point downstream N-2. Discharge point N-lA replaced point N-1 <br />t effective in 1993. Naturita Creek had flow all year. The quality <br />of water measured in Naturita Creek was consistent with prior years <br />monitoring. <br />' Sorings <br />' Six springs a located adjacent to the mining area. SP-1, located <br />in Long Draw has had flow recorded in 2 of 16 calendar quarters <br />(1991 through 1994). The maximum flow was 1 gpm recorded during <br />the first quarter of 1991. During 1994, SP-1 was dry with no <br />' recorded flow. <br />SP-2 located in Section 33 Creek has had flow recorded in 1 of 16 <br />' calendar quarters (1991 through 1994). The maximum flow was 1 gpm <br />recorded during the first quarter of 1991. During 1994, SP-2 was <br />a stagnant pool the first quarter and dry during the remaining <br />monitoring events. <br />SP-3 located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in six <br />years of monitoring data. The spring was noted as a seep during <br />the first quarter of 1989 and damp the second quarter of 1992. It <br />was noted as dry during 1994. <br />SP-4 located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in six <br />years of monitoring data. The spring was noted as a seep during <br />the first and fourth quarters of 1989 and dry during all subsequent <br />monitoring events. <br />1 SP-5 also located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in <br />six years of monitoring data.
