ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT <br />Apex #2 Mine Permit C-81-011 <br />Year 2001 <br />Permittee: <br />Sunland Mining Corporation <br />co/ Bud Long <br />PMB 308 <br />7868 Rea Road Suite F <br />Charlotte NC 28277 <br />Location and # of Acres Disturbed During Year: <br />No land was disturbed during the year. <br />Location and # of Acres Backfilled and Graded During Year: <br />The entire disturbed area was backfilled and graded in the fall of 1992. The total area <br />was 3.1 acres. No acreage was backfilled and graded in 2001. <br />Location and # of Acres Topsoiled During Year: <br />The entire disturbed area was re-topsoiled in the fall Of 1992. The total area was 3.1 <br />acres. No additional areas were retopsoiled. <br />Location, Species and # of Acres of Vegetation Planted During Year: <br />All areas were planted in the Fall of 1992. No areas were planted in 2001. No <br />fertilization, irrigation, soil preparation or other work was done during the year. <br />Location, # of Acres and Date of Planting for all Previously Revegetated Areas: <br />Timothy, orchardgrass and brome seed was added to the yard area in September of <br />1994 due to the extremely dry summer. Some additional slender wheatgrass, western <br />wheatgrass, bluegrass, mountain brome, needlegrass and straw mulch was added to the <br />portal bench area and the yard area in the fall of 1994 and 1995. Pig manure was added <br />to 0.3 acres of the yard area in 1994. All of the seeding was performed on areas <br />previously seeded in the fall of 1992. The interseeding in 1994 and 1995 was limited to <br />less than 0.1 acres for each case. Minor interseeding did take place on the yard area in <br />1998. At that time, Birdsfoot Trefoil was interseeded on approximately 0.1 acres of the <br />yard area. Approximately 2.0 ]bs of seed were used for this application. <br />A map enclosed in last year's annual report shows the dates and locations of initial <br />seeding. The interseeding done in 1994, 1995 and 1998 was a spot broadcast seeding on <br />open patches throughout the area, therefore, it was impossible to record the locations of <br />these areas.
