SPOIL SPRING MONITDfIING
- -
A monitoring program was initiated in 1986 and Eras been conducted annually.
As per the approved plan the annual min e wide survey is conducted during May
and springs are measured for flow and field parameters. if a spring is
discharging 35 gallons per minute or greater then it will be monitored
throughout the remainder of the year in accordance with the monito ring plan.
' No significant spoil springs were found in 1988.
' Water quality
' In the past two years the maximum total spoil spring discharge was 0.040 cfs
in 1986. The mean dissolved solids was 2086 mg/1. Due to t he low to
' nonexistent flows tfre spoil springs ar •e not significant to the hydrologic /
/
regime.

1

1

i -7-
