SURFACE WATER hIONITORING <br />Four primary locations and one water-level-only location on Foidel Creek in the vicinity of Mine <br />1 are monitored. Station 14 is upstream of the effects of ali mining activities in the area. USGS <br />Station 09243800 (Station 800) is a short distance downstream of Station 14 and is downstream <br />of the discharge point for Pond A which captures the drainage from a large area of spoil springs. <br />Station 8 is a short distance downstream of Mine No. 1 and the Foidel Creek underground mine <br />portal. USGS Station 09243900 (Station 900) is located upstream of the confluence of Foidel <br />and Middle Creeks. A water-level-only station (304) is located near Well 008-AV-2 near the <br />confluence of Foidel and Dliddle Creeks. <br />Two primary locations on Fislt Creek are monitored. Station 16 which is located immediately <br />downstream of where Fish Creek enters ttte south end of Twentymile Park. This station has <br />replaced Station 1001 which was located upstream of where Fish Creek enters Twentymile Park. <br />Station 1002 is located on Fish Creek about one-half way through its reach in Twentymile Park <br />and downstream of Mine No. 2. One water level only station (307) is located near Well 006- <br />AZ-3. <br />One station on Middle Creek, USGS Station 09423700 (Station 700) located upstream of Mine <br />No. 3, is monitored for flow and water quality. Two locations on Trout Creek are monitored. <br />Station 69 is located below the contluence with Middle Creek to which Foidel Creek is tributary. <br />Station 301 is located upstream of the contluence of Middle and Trout Creeks. <br />Flows <br />Due to the size of the stream, they must be rated instead of using a more accurate controlled <br />section such as a flume. The USGS maintains continuous recorders at Station 700, 800 and 900. <br />Plots of the historic flow measurements on Foidel Creek are presented on Figures 21 to 27 and <br />Figure 46. Plots of the historic flow measurement on Middle Creek are presented on Figures <br />28 and 29. Plots of historic Clow measurements on Fish Creek are presented on Figures 30 and <br />31.
