(BMRI) - San Luis
DMG Permit No. M-88-112, Bi-Weekly Water Sampling
Dear Mr. Oehler:
Enclosed are the analytical reports from Core Laboratories
for the bi-weekly water samples collected on May 27-28, 1993
as specified in the April 1992 Abatement Plan. The oross-
reference table between sample identification numbers and
sample locations is attached. As specified in TR-OOfi,
calculated free and wad cyanide values for the process point
samples are enclosed.
This sampling event coincided with the fourth site visit of
the independent third party sampler, Dr. Ann Maest o$
RCG/Hagler, Bailly, Inc. RS-5 was sampled twice - a sample
during the third party visit (930527 BMG O1, analyzed for
cyanide and metals) and a bi-weekly sample (930528 BMG 04,
analyzed for the complete parameters list).
No deviations from the sampling QA/QC protocols, TR-006,
were noted for any of the samples collected. wells M-9,
M-12, and M-13 were sampled. Samples were collected at
surface water station RS-5. Four process points were
sampled; the pre-detox sample could not be collected due to 1
maintenance activities. Wells M-2, M-6, M-7, and M-8 and
the three lysimeter pairs were checked and found to be dry.
A bucket-beaker rinse blank and a field blank were collected
as field quality control samples.
The initial analysis by Core Labs of the cyanide samples for
the lower and upper ponds showed CN-wad values great@r than
CN-total values. The samples were re-analyzed. Both
reports are attached. All cyanide values were below our
permit limits.
Sincerely, --
hllnnc ~ ~ ~`
Alana L.
