Annual Report
Dear Ms. Ramirez:
As required by CRS 34-32.5-116, we are providing this Annual Report for the Heit Sand and Gravel Mine, DRMS file
M-2003-016.
• The extent of current disturbances:
The slurry wall and underdrain have been installed, the gas line has been relocated, the house has been
removed, and the processing area is under construction.
• Reclamation accomplished to date and during the preceding year:
No reclamation has occurred on the site.
• New disturbances anticipated to occur during the upcoming year:
Pioneer Sand and Gravel anticipates that they will strip the topsoil and overburden, construct settling ponds and
begin mining the property.
• Reclamation that will be performed during the coming year:
It is not anticipated that any reclamation will be performed during the upcoming year.
• Dates for the beginning of active operations:
Slurry wall construction began in June 2007.
• Date active operations ceased for the year, if any:
Not applicable.
Enclosed please find the signed Annual Report Form, a copy of the current mining plan map, and the annual permit
