Eastside Coal Company, Inc.
Subsidence Report
June 1991
Extraction Limi
No mining has occurred at the Eastside Mine during the last nine months.
The Mine Map dated October 5, 1990 shows the current extent of mining.
A conservative angle of draw of 25o includes Subsidence Point 2 in the
area of possible influence from subsidence.
Observed Subsidence
Alternate Points 1 and 2 were set June 20, 1991 in accordance with Minor
Revision 08. Points 1 and 2 as well as Alternate Points 1 and 2 were
surveyed on June 25, 1991. Re-installment of the monuments below the
frost line should correct the frost heave variations.
Results from the original Monuments 1 and 2 as well as the Alternate
Monuments 1 and 2 are reported. The results from Monument 1 and 2
indicate the points did not subside during the last nine months. Since
the points were originally set, the total vertical movement of
Monument 1 was 0.287 feet, and the vertical movement of Monument 2 was
0.363 feet.
No structures or renewable resources have been affected by subsidence
of the Eastside Mine.
