There aze no
indications of impacts to water quality as a result of mining.
Groundwater levels:
Water levels in Iuppa Well is consistent with previous monitoring periods. Water levels in
Refuse Well stopped declining from the 1994 period. The decline, possibly a result of
reclamation activities, has reached equilibrium. There aze no negative impacts to water well
levels as a result of mining.
Surface water quality:
Quality data from the single flow event monitored in the Permanent Starkville diversion
indicate that the water quality is improved as compazed to previous monitoring results. These
data indicate that there are no negative impacts to the surface water quality as a result of
mining.
