Long <br />FROM: Kirstin Fisher, Engineering/ Physical Sciences Intern fDvivlis~i-on Director <br />DATE: December 30, 1996 " r <br />RE: Review of the 1995 Annual Hydrologic Report <br />National King Coal Inc. <br />King Coal Mine <br />Mining Permit No. C-81-035 <br />In the review of Kinq Coal Mine's hydrologic report, the following <br />standards will be checked: compliance with the set monitoring <br />schedule and compliance with the set of monitoring parameters. <br />Along with this, the water quality will be compared with the <br />baseline water quality information from 1982 to check the effects <br />of mining on the hydrologic balance. For comparison purposes, 1994 <br />and 1995 data will be combined to compare to the baseline water <br />quality information. <br />I. Water Monitoring Requirements <br />A. Quarterly monitoring of the one alluvial well for the <br />following parameters: <br />1. Depth to Water <br />2. Temperature <br />3. Conductivity <br />4. Bicarbonate as CaC03 <br />5. Calcium Dissolved <br />
