DMG Permit No. M~8-112 <br />Quarterly, Monthly and Bi-weekly Sampling <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />All required sampling was completed during the month of April. Enclosed are analytical reports <br />from Sangre De Cristo Lab (SDCj for the recent bi-weekly and monthly sampling period as specified <br />in the April 1992 Abatement Plan. Also enclosed are the results of CORE tabs ongoing HCT testing. <br />The cross-reference table between sample identification numbers, sample types and sample <br />locations is also attached. As specified in TR-006, calculated free and wad cyanide values for the <br />process point samples are enclosed. Field and rinse blanks were collected as part of the QA/QC. <br />Analysis that have not been received will be forwarded to you as I receive them. <br />BMRI met with the DMG on April 22, 1999 regarding TR-26 approval and implementation. <br />All surface water stations were inspected and RS-4 and RS-6 were found to be dry. <br />Vacuum on the lysimeters was verified and no water was present fo sample. <br />When we checked the piezometers on the main embankment of the tailings impoundment on <br />05/04/99, the piezometers were dry or contained well below 12 inches of woter. <br />The two west pit piezometers were measured for depth to water on 05/03/99, with the following <br />result: BF-Iwas 1 1.95 ft and BF-2 was 15.65 ft. The ocher piezometers in the West Mine area were also <br />checked with the following result: PW-1 was 14.15 ft, PW-2 was 15.00 ff, PW-3 was 23.50 ft and PW-4 <br />was 26.05 ff. <br />The underdrain was measured at approximately 33 gpm. <br />The collection pond's leak detection system was sampled and pumped dry. The leak was <br />measured at approximately 33 GPAD. <br />
