III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
999
~ aad ~1 ~'R
INTERNAL MEMO
TO: Dan Mathews
FROM: Jim Burnell
SUBJ: AHR Review: Munger and McLane Canyon
1 August 2001
I have reviewed the Annual Hydrology Report for each of these mines. Taking note of the
analyses that were not included, I still find that there is nothing of negative consequence to the
hydrologic balance in either report. The concentrations in Salt Creek, for example, show no
consistency upstream and downstream with regard to total dissolved solids (TDS), total
suspended solids (TSS) or other parameters.
Due to the scarcity of water at those two mines, the predictions in the probable hydrologic
consequences section of the permit for each of these (that there will be no impact to groundwater
or surface water) is demonstrated to date.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
