DMG Permit No. M-88-112 <br />Elevated manganese reported on Ml 1-R monthly sample result <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />BMRI is conducting monthly groundwater monitoring at a number of wells in the vicinity <br />of the west pit in accordance with the requirements of the TR-15 Response Plan <br />(November 16, 1998j. This letter is written to advise you that in the course of that <br />monitoring program, the analysis of a monthly sample collected of well M-1 1 R on <br />January 18, 1999 reflected a manganese level of .051 mg/I as compared to the permit <br />condition value of .OS mg/I, A copy of the inorganic analytical results are enclosed. BMRI <br />inlends to continue implementation of the monthly monitoring requirements under the <br />approved 7R-15 Response Plan, incorporate these analytical results into the overall data <br />base and comprehensively address the issue in the context of the long term response <br />plan currently under development to be submitted in March.
