How is flow measured in Hubbard Creek above the mine site?
Why is flow not measured below the mine site?
A. The flow in Hubbard Creek above the mine site is measured by
estimating the crossection of the creek and measuring the
velocity using a floating stick and stop watch. The flow is
not measured below the mine site because any small change in
flow between the two monitoring sites would not be discern-
ible considering the above flow measuring technique.
Q. Submit a map with monitoring locations indicated on it for
ell piezometers, surface water sites in Hubbard Creek, and
underdrain outfalls.
A. A monitoring location map is enclosed.
Q. When was the current lower Hubbard Creek water monitoring
site established.
A. It was established April 26, 1985.
Q. Submit historic plots of water levels in the bench
piezometers.
A. Graphs of water levels in the bench piezometers are
enclosed. In order to present the 1987 data which was only
taken quarterly the water levels were assumed to vary con-
