Box 161
Silt, Colorado 81652
Re: Subsidence Monitoring, Eastside Mine, File No. C-84-063
Dear Mr. Self:
The Division has reviewed your request to discontinue subsidence monitoring
during the temporary cessation period. Based on discussions with Jim
Pendleton of the Division staff, monitoring may be reduced to an annual
frequency during this period. -
Therefore, since Eastside Coal last performed subsidence monitoring in
December of 1985, the next survey must be performed in December of 1986 or
when mining resumes, whichever is earlier. Subsidence monitoring will
continue as scheduled in Stipulation 11 upon resumption of mining.
Sincerely,
',~~ ~i-~
Jeffrey Deckler
Reclamation Specialist
JD/dlm
0282E
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
